PTC India Financial Services Limited
PTC India Financial Services Limited (PFS) is an investment special
purpose vehicle (SPV) of PTC India Limited (PTC) established with the
mandate to provide financial services in the energy value chain. The
company was incorporated on 08/09/2006 and commenced its
business from 08/05/2007.
As a part of its proprietary investments, PFS would invest in power
projects, fuel sources, related infrastructure like gas pipelines, LNG
terminals, ports, equipment manufacturers like transformers,
conductors, insulators, cables etc. PFS will also offer total financing
solutions in terms of short term financing and long term financing to
project companies/ utilities in the energy value chain. Apart from its
proprietary investments, PFS is also in the process of providing asset
management services for equity investment in the entire energy value
Apart from PTC as a promoter having 60% stake, GS Strategic
Investments Limited (GS) and Macquarie India Holdings Limited (MQ)
have a 20% stake each in the equity of PFS. As of now, the authorized
capital is Rs. 300 Crores. The current capital base is Rs. 301 Crores
contributed by PTC, GS and MQ.
PFS visualizes to be the preferred partner in providing financial
solutions to the entire energy value chain and it intends to achieve
that goal through:
• Partnering and forging strong relationships with credible
developers by providing the entire gamut of financial services
ranging from advisory, syndication & capital contribution for
promoting viable projects in entire energy value chain.
• Channelizing resources from both proprietary and third party
investors and to direct such capital into high yielding assets in
the energy value chain by striking a balance with the cost of
funds and the return expectations of all stakeholders.
• Addressing specific requirements of risk capital in the energy
value chain by offering innovative solutions for various phases
of project development during the entire life cycle of the
project ranging from construction, initial operations, stable
operation and expansion.
