Finely sized white TiO, pigment is basically used for a combination of its opacifying and inert chemical characteristics and. in broad terms, is employed in nonrecyclable goods widely regarded as "quality of life" products with demand growth typically found to correlate well with global GDP growth. Preliminary estimates indicate global supply of feedstocks for 2009 to be 5.4 million TiO, units, a decline of almost 11 percent on the figure reported for 2008.\n The resultant increased operating costs will underpin the increasing feedstock price trend.
