Please read this list of FAQ's to get a better understanding of the new NHS Lease Car Scheme. Q How much is it costing the Trust to run this scheme? A The scheme is operated by NHS Fleet Solutions as such all costs rest with them. The Trust will make savings of it's own by implementing this scheme. Q) Do you have a list of the cars that you lease? A) You can lease any make and model of car that you like. Q) How many miles can I do in the car? A) All quotes are tailored to the individual needs, and worked out on the amount of miles that you do. Q) Who can drive the car? A) You can insure up to 5 named drivers, any driver any age. Q) What is the Excess? A) There is a standard £250 excess which increases for younger and inexperienced drivers. Q) Can I only get a new car? A) Yes you can only lease a new car. There is also an option to purchase the car. Q) What happens to my no claims? A) We can provide a letter of no claims for the period that you have had the lease car. Q) Can I put a cherised plate on the car? A) Yes the leasing company will allow this, but they may charge a small administration fee. Q) Can I part exchange my current car? A) No, however the dealer who provides your new car, will give you a price to purchase your current car. This is a seperate transcation to the lease car agreement. Q) Does the government scrappage scheme apply A) No in order to qualify for the scrappage scheme, the new car needs to be registered in your name. As this is a lease scheme, the scrappage payment will not be applicable.
