IFPHK boosts presence at Education and Careers Expo 2009 with “Financial
Planning Industry Zone”
(9 February 2009, Hong Kong) The Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong
(IFPHK) will join hands with six of its corporate members to form a “Financial
Planning Industry Zone” again at the Education and Careers Expo 2009 in an effort to
recruit potential candidates while bolstering consumer awareness.
Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and the Labour
Department and held from19 - 22 February 2009 at Hall 5 of the Hong Kong
Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), the Expo is an annual event that attracts
students, parents and job-seekers from the region. There were over 190,000 visitors
and 505 exhibitors last year.
The Financial Planning Industry Zone aims to provide a one-stop platform for visitors
to learn more about financial planning and various career opportunities offered by the
IFPHK corporate members. It also promotes the numerous advantages that the
professional qualifications, including the coveted CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERCM
Certification and Financial Advisers’ International Qualification (FAIQ) offered by
The Financial Planning Industry Zone will be led by IFPHK, and will feature six IFPHK
corporate members, including AMTD Financial Planning Limited, American
International Assurance Co (Bermuda) Limited, Convoy Financial Services Limited,
Massmutual Asia Limited, The Bank of East Asia, Limited and The Prudential
Assurance Company Ltd.
