Personnel Changes
The Sycamore Police Department would like to congratulate Sharon Anderson on her recent promotion to the position of Sergeant. Sergeant Anderson is a 13 year veteran of the Sycamore Police Department and has served as a patrol officer, Dare officer and Narcotics Agent. For the last 7 years Sergeant Anderson was assigned to the Detective Division of the Sycamore Police Department as an investigator. As a result of her promotion Sergeant Anderson will now be assigned to supervise a patrol shift. We would like to thank Sharon for her dedication and wish her luck on her new assignment.

Sergeant Scott Mayeda addressed the City Council at their May 15, 2006 meeting after announcing his retirement from the Sycamore Police Department where he faithfully served for 27 years. Sergeant Mayeda recently accepted the position of Chief with the Virden Illinois Police Department. We would like to Thank Sergeant Mayeda for his years of dedicated service and wish him luck with his new position. He will be missed.

The Sycamore Police Department would like to welcome Stacy Safranek and Rudi Ziegler. Both were recently hired to the position of Police Officer. Safranek is a graduate of Western Illinois University and is currently attending basic training at the Police Training Institute in Champagne Illinois. Ziegler is a certified police officer, previously employed by the Sandwich Illinois Police Department and is currently assigned to a field training officer. Welcome aboard!
