Press Release

Never mind the weather

Frankfurt am Main, December 2005 - Decorative laminate
is a building material for all seasons and weathers. It
withstands sun, rain, snow, hail, hot summer and freezing
cold winter temperatures.

Decorative laminate is so durable that it can be used without
reservation for external applications such as cladding facades
and balconies. It is also found in children’s playgrounds and at
bus stops. This is because decorative laminate is resistant to
moisture (even hailstones just bounce off it) it is scratchproof,
impact k resistant to changes in temperature across a wide
               C C.
range from -20° to +80° Decorative laminate is also
resistant to weathering both by extreme exposure to sunrays
or by freezing cold, which harm neither the surface nor the
core.

A further advantage is that as a non-metallic material
decorative laminates do not react with other materials. Even
environmental influences such as vehicle emissions or acid
rain cannot harm them or make the layers of colour peel off.
And if a graffiti sprayer should happen to leave his mark on a
wall made of decorative laminate, the external facade can be
cleaned easily and with lasting effect.
Whether a home owner or a designer, decorative laminates
offer a multitude of design possibilities with plain colours,
wood patterns and metallic colours to chose from.
