                    GLENDALE FIRE DEPARTMENT REMEMBERS 9/11
It has been seven years since our nation suffered terrible losses on 9/11. This year, the Glendale Fire
Department and community members will participate in a brief ceremony to pay tribute and mark the 9/11
anniversary.
                                   MOMENT OF SILENCE WITH BELLS
                                          Thursday, September 11, 2008

9:58 am EDT

   •   All available fire department personnel assemble at attention in front of the station flag pole (or a central
       location in front of the building).
   •   No recommended uniform of the day.
   •   Company officer or chaplain, if present, may choose to make brief remarks.
   •   No badge shrouds or lowered flag.
   •   Community involvement is optional.
   •   When assembled, maintain silence.

9:59 am EDT – Time of the South Tower Collapse

   •   Verdugo will tone out all 40 Fire Stations. (Area “C” Fire Stations)
   •   Verdugo will deliver a message in Honor of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
   •   Verdugo will clear the radio.

The City of Glendale, the Glendale Fire Department and Glendale Firefighters invite community members to
join in this brief but powerful tribute. Glendale Fire Stations are located at the following locations:
