City of Alma, Michigan Press Release May 11, 2006 Alma, Michigan: The City of Alma announced today that it has signed a purchase agreement with Sawruk Management, Inc. of Winter Park, Florida to develop an Energy Research Park, to be located within and adjacent to the City of Alma. “This agreement allows the City of Alma to pursue the much needed development of property that the city owns and more importantly addresses our nation’s energy crisis” said Alma City Manager Phillip Moore in his comments. He further stated “We are evaluating a number of related energy projects which will rebuild our industrial base, and will create much needed jobs and economic development opportunities for the local community”. Moore went on to say “The City believes Sawruk Management, Inc. has the experience and expertise to implement this vision. We look forward to announcing the details of the first major tenant to be located in the development shortly. Although we still have a long way to go, this first step shows that Alma is serious about bringing permanent jobs to this area”.
