I. CATALOG DESCRIPTION:
Co-prerequisite: METR-1100, METR-1300, METR-1400, METR-1500
This course focuses on terminology used in the field of medicine. Specifically, it
deals with the structure of words, including prefixes, suffixes, roots and the rules
for their combination. Some attention is given to pronunciation, spelling and
usage. Terminology is drawn from several medically related subfields such as
anatomy, pathology, diagnostic/surgical procedures, and symptomatology.
II. GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
