  INVITATION FOR THE PREQUALIFICATION AND TENDER
       FOR THE PROVISION OF COURIER SERVICES

INTRODUCTION

The Central Bank of Nigeria hereby invites reputable Courier
Services Providers, with proven experience in handling corporate
courier services and registered to do business in Nigeria to apply to
pre-qualify and tender for the provision of Courier Services in
Central Bank of Nigeria.

The scope of the service which shall be for a three (3) year period
includes but is not limited to:

Maintenance of two (2) mail rooms and mail distribution services at
  the administrative offices in Abuja and Lagos.

Mail handling services at all Central Bank of Nigeria Branches,
  Currency Centres and Learning Centre, Lagos.

PRE-QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

The pre-qualification document will as a minimum address the
following requirements:

Company’s legal status; copies of Certificate of Registration and
   certified true-copy of Articles of Association.

Company profile including Nigerian shareholding and details of any
   technical support relationships with foreign partners.

Company general organizational structure.

Evidence of local/international registration/certification with Courier
    Services Associations/Institutes.

Provide last three (3) years certified audited account records duly
    stamped by a registered accounting firm and current tax
    clearance certificate.

Evidence of financial capability/support from a Bank of a facility of
    up to N20,000,000.00 (Twenty Million Naira only).

Details of relevant verifiable experience of similar services and of
    similar characteristics that the company has undertaken in the
    last five (5) years including copies of award letters, confirmation
    of satisfactory service delivery.

Curriculum vitae of principal officers stating qualifications,
    experiences and attaching copies of relevant certifications.

Description and specification of equipment currently owned by the
    company with proof of ownership.

Reference of three (3) major clients that can be contacted for
    information and reference.

Method of tracking goods in transit.

COMMERCIAL BID

The tender document would be obtained upon payment of a non-
refundable fee of N50,000.00 (Fifty Thousand Naira only) from:

TENDER SECURITY

Companies are required to provide bid security in the sum of
N2,000,000.00 (Two Million Naira only) in the form of Bank
Guarantee in favour of the Central Bank of Nigeria.



SUBMISSION

Companies are to submit both technical bid as stipulated under ‘pre-
qualification requirements’ and commercial bid using tender
documents collected.

The technical submission and completed tender documents should
be forwarded in a wax-sealed envelop boldly marked at the top left
corner:

“Prequalification and Tender for Courier Services in the Central
Bank of Nigeria’’

and addressed to:-

CLOSING DATE
All submissions must be received at the above address two weeks
from the date of this advert.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Nothing in the advert shall be construed to be a commitment on the
  part of the CBN.
Companies would be assessed solely on submissions.

Companies would be invited to witness the opening of the tenders.

The successful company would be notified formally, published and
  posted on the CBN website.
