TO MAKE EVERY MINING AND HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR IN THE
WORLD SAFER AND THEIR EMPLOYER MORE PROFITABLE WITH OUR
SIMULATOR TECHNOLOGIES
Our training Simulators deliver increased safety, critical cost-savings and increased
production to your organization with the end result being a lower cost per tonne. This is
achieved by providing your staff with a safe and efficient training environment to learn the
correct operational techniques of the heavy machinery on your site.
Simulation training focuses on:
• Increased safety
• Minimizing machinery down-time through unscheduled maintenance
• Fewer new operator related production interruptions
• Improved productivity through better understanding of machine operation
• Prospective employee assessments.

SimControl software
AT THE CORE OF THE AE SIMULATOR IS SPECIALIZED SOFTWARE DESIGNED
TO SUPPORT THE MINING AND EARTHMOVING INDUSTRY.
The SimControl software suite has been developed to increase the ease of operating the AE Simulator
and providing extensive measurement and reporting capabilities through a simple point-and-click
computer interface.
The power of this software has been made possible by direct feedback from mining professionals and
restricted machine technical information from leading Original Equipment Manufacturers over the
past 12 years.
SimControl provides the training supervisor with access to a range of features including simulator
training objectives, environment modifications, emergency training procedures, machine
productivity coaching and reports. The functionality of this comprehensive software continues
to grow, with continual feedback from customers and ongoing investments in research and
development by Immersive Technologies.
Reports
The SimControl application delivers detailed reports of operator training to your fingertips.
Generate operator benchmarking, problem identification and progress evaluations of your trainees.
Quickly and easily measure operators and the training program’s strengths and weaknesses.
VirtualGround Technology™
Pivotal to successful equipment operator training is the accurate and realistic replication of soil
interaction with the training equipment.
Fundamental to the SimControl software is VirtualGround Technology™. This highly advanced
software module allows real-time, high-fidelity replication of bucket/soil interaction. The soil model
realistically simulates digging behaviour, including the correct flow of soil and application of
digging forces.
Customizable
The AE Simulator comes as proven off-the-shelf technology with the ability to be highly customized to
suit your unique requirements.
A comprehensive suite of tools allow your Simulator to be tailored to meet your site’s individual
objectives. These powerful customizations can be completed by our highly trained staff or carried out
at any time by the training staff on site.
• Custom Mine Sites – Virtual mine site replicas
• Operator errors and events – Highly customizable events able to be quickly created
• Environmental scenarios – Edit weather, time of day, grade traction
• Multilingual interface – Easily alter the software interface to suit any language
• Editable multimedia lessons – Add, edit or delete operator lessons.
