symposia.
e-Sessions
Many attendees took advantage of the computer-
based learning programs --“e-Sessions”-- that
were offered during the conference. These
popular, 20-minute modules gave participants
a flexible learning option in planning a busy
schedule. The e-Sessions covered many of
the same industry topics as in the educational
sessions, but in a more convenient PowerPoint
format.
Networking:
Connections and More!
Because HIMSS AsiaPac07 Conference & Exposition was a first-of-its-
kind event, so were the networking opportunities. From the education
sessions to the exhibit floor to special receptions…
professional
connections
were made

and anywhere.
The highlight for the week was the Night Safari Reception held at the Singapore
Zoo. After a very civilised dinner, attendees boarded a tram for a ride...

The Exhibition:
Global Innovation Under One Roof
The Exhibition was so much more than a trade show.
It was an event that provided opportunities to explore the
latest healthcare IT solutions, emerging technology and
interoperability standards that span the globe –
all under one roof.
The Interoperability Showcase was a
‘must see’ event.
It highlighted how implementing the IHE framework
(Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise) could pass
vital health information seamlessly—across multiple
settings, systems, applications and institutions.
The Product Tutorials were
dynamic case studies presented by exhibiting
companies. They demonstrated some of the
most cutting-edge healthcare IT solutions in
real world applications today.
AsiaPac07 drew more than 50 top
vendors from around the world.
The Certified Professional
in Healthcare Information
and Management Systems
(CPHIMS) designation is
recognised around the world
as the industry standard for
healthcare IT and management
systems knowledge. Attendees
were given the opportunity to
take the CPHIMS exam during
the conference.
