TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
(FUNDING FOR THE FIRST STEPS TOWARDS A TRANSNATIONAL COOPERATION PROJECT)
In Italy it has not been planned a system for T.A. as under Leader II
In 18 of the 21 Regions, pre-development expenses can be taken into account in the budget of the project when it is implemented. 3 Regions (Umbria, Friuli
Venezia Giulia and Calabria) have a budget
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE REIMBURSEMENT IS PROVIDED
Reimbursement of all expenses incurred for the first phases of the trans-national cooperation project, without any prior specific selection.
When a project can not achieve the objectives initially set, some MAs do not reimburse the expenses related to the predevelopment of the project: i) ii) NOT AT ALL: Liguria and Piemonte UP TO 50% of the expenses: Toscana

FINANCIAL CONDITIONS / ELIGIBILITY RULES FOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
In 19 of the 21 regions, technical assistance is funded up to 100%. This percentage is less than 100%, in Bolzano (80%) and in Abruzzo (50%)
Items that can be taken into account within technical assistance: •travel and accommodation, •interpretation and translation, •light technical assistance (thematic studies, advice, organisation of meetings),

Grant upper limit per application
In amount: most regions have set a grant upper limit for T.A. from 5.000 euro to 20.000 euro per application In percentage of the total cost of the project: from 8% in Valle Aosta to 20% in Emilia Romagna

Staff cost eligibility
Staff costs are eligible under Action 2 for the implementation of a transnational cooperation project if they can be directly related to the cooperation project
