Tuesdays with Marvin.

Hey everybody!

Well here we are again, another Tuesday. This day unfortunately (and for some, fortunately) ends
early for me. My last class ends at 10 AM haha. So I like to use this day to spend some time with
friends in the basement of Marvin Lib. Today, however, I find myself playing around with Facebook
Bowling buddies because none of my friends could make it, as they are all sick for some reason (I am
also coming down with a cold). Must be something going around the school. As predicted, midterm
week is a pain, as I find myself catching up with certain subjects and studying for exams; some exams
obviously being harder than others. Well, I guess id better get working again, breaks over haha. Hope
all is well for everybody!

P.S lol i just heard some kids whispering in the racks behind me, apparently the fact that i blog seems
to mean that I'm something of which I'm definitely sure I'm the opposite of. hahahahahahaha. Ill let
you use your imagination. Bye! :)

A hectic February

Hey everybody!

Long time since my last post unfortunately. To start things off with 3 words of advice. DON'T USE
CREDIT CARDS... ok.. 4 words. Economic crisis have hit us small businesses quite badly. Its getting a
lot harder to maintain a high credit rating with car payments, while still maintaining a high GPA.

I find myself struggling this semester to keep up with my homework and classwork as well. I'm taking
two programming classes that don't seem to be sinking in. I find myself confused a lot when figuring
out how to create certain program and getting the languages confused (Java and C++) Luckally I
have friends that have majored in computer languages, so that helps. Calculus so far is quite fun
though. I find it challenging which is why im doing computer networks anyway. Data Communications
though is quite fun indeed, as it is the basis of my major.

So as February winds down and March begins, I begin to look forward to the upcoming springtime with
warm air and good nights for campfires and hiking. Spring is my favorite season of all. It seems to
represent a rebirth of nature into its fascinating beauty that surrounds us on a daily basis; a great
metaphor for life. How it seems to always fix itself with out any interaction on our part. Though
sometimes, a kick in the butt helps push things along ;).

Anyway, I promise not to wait too long before posting again. I hope all is well with everybody!!

Take care!

Christmas Break

Well hello again everybody, Happy New Year!

I'd like to thank everybody for nicely (and some not so nicely) informing me of my last post's type-o,
didn't catch it until 3 seconds after submitting the post unfortunately. For some reason, Microsoft
Word changed the type-o "inother" to "another" and I just didn't see it, haha. This reminds me of one
of my favorite quotes: "At the source of every error which is blamed on the computer you will find at
least two human errors, including the error of blaming it on the computer" hahahaha

Anyway, I hope all is well with everybody. It seems I'm having trouble finding things to do that keep
the boredom at bay while on vacation from school. As a person with personal experience with failure
in High School, I never thought I'd see myself looking forward to returning to the classroom
environment at HVCC, the upcoming semester holds many secrets that I am looking forward to
exploring and benefiting from. Over the break I've met with a couple advisers from RPI regarding
transferring into a masters degree program in Info Tech. It seems they were surprised to see a
freshman at HVCC with such interest in a masters degree (or two), I found this to be amusing.

Well, I'm only noticing the computer work I have piled up as of late that I must deal with in the
morning. With that I bid you farewell, until next time then!

New beginnings -

"Take what you can from your dreams, make them as real as anything" - Dave Matthews

Hey there! I'm Tim, most of my buddies call me Timmy. Welcome to my blog space! So.. introduction,
what do you need or want to know about me... hmm. Well.. I come from a very loving family of 7. I
have 2 older brothers and 2 sisters, one older, one younger. I'm 21 years old and majoring in Systems
and Network Administration at HVCC, and I listen to more music than anybody anyone knows. I am
often criticized for the music I listen to, the movies I watch, and even the way I live my life because
i'm not what most would consider "normal", haha, in other words, I don't follow the "man rules", I just
have a more advanced view point of human existence as i'm sure you will see in my future blogs.

So my plan and ideas for these blogs are to enlighten the mind and offer different view points on
certain topics as well as describe in detail my experiences at HVCC to you potential students, parents
of students, or really anybody who wants to read :) however, boring as that may sound, I promise you
a few laughs and "wow" moments as well. My door is always open to suggestions for blog topics or
even questions and comments you may have. I can be reached at HVCCblog@gmail.com. I really look
forward to our future relationships and encounters together. Take care!
