GREGG MAURO Gregg joined Conference Board in 1998 as a portfolio manager and conference program director and until December 2003, he focused on the areas of performance measurement, human resources, taxation, health care and marketing. While with the Board he had responsibility for the content of approximately one-third of The Board’s conferences and seminars. Currently, he serves as a consultant to The Conference Board and does work in the following areas: • Conference Program Director: Health Care, Performance Measurement, Employee Engagement, Marketing Research, and others • Council Representative: Council of Tax Executives and The Employee Health Care Council • Working Group Leader: Consumer Driven Health Care, Human Capital and Wellness In 1998 The Conference Board published a research report he authored on Taxation of Electronic Commerce, and in 2005 an Executive Action report on Consumer Driven Health he wrote. He’s also published many articles in various tax journals including Tax Notes International, State Tax Notes, The Journal of Multistate Taxation, and others. Gregg volunteers for Mayor Williams’s eBIC program in District of Columbia and runs monthly workshops on Starting and Operating LLCs, and Tax Aspects of Business Entities. Both courses are designed for small business owners who are establishing or operating businesses in the District. Gregg has a Bachelors degree in business from Bernard Baruch College (New York City) and a Masters Degree in tax law from Fordham University (New York City).
