Many information technology departments struggle with how recurring problems hurt business, and many also struggle with how to proceed with formally investigating each major problem. Information from actual IT problems categorized by type, or assumed causes and solutions, are recommended based on data trends exhibiting the highest percentages or greatest threats. RCA is a tool that solves problems that prevent an organization from achieving its business goals. Businesses can prioritize goals in order of importance so that the logic of recognizing and defining a problem is aligned with how important each goal is to the organization. Create threshold criteria at all levels of the organization. Properly defined problems ensure everyone working on the problem is pointed in the same direction.
