Mining Claims Available for Option Property: Golden Caddy Property Location: Ogden Township Property Description: The Golden Caddy Property consists of an L shaped contiguous fiveclaim group starting at the township boundary running south then east and south. The legal description is MCP7578, PCL 2848SEC; MCP7577, PCL 2847SEC; MCP17800, PCL 5660SEC; MCP7696, PCL 2851SEC and MCP7694, PCL 2849SEC. Access: The property area is poorly accessible off of the Dalton Road but access agreement could be reached with property owner to the north (farm land) The property located in the northeast quarter of the township was most recently mapped in 20032004 with the final report and map being published in OFR 61581, 2005 as part of the Discover Abitibi Initiative. The following is an excerpt from that report. Geology: OFR 6158 - In the Timmins camp, there is an age difference of about 15 Ma between cessation of Tisdale assemblage volcanism and deposition of the overlying Porcupine assemblage. The base of the Porcupine assemblage has been interpreted as an unconformity or disconformity on a regional scale (Bleeker, Parrish and Sager-Kinsman1999) and this is clearly supported by the new geochronological data presented in the Timmins area stratigraphy and lithology section. The Porcupine–Tisdale contact may be better interpreted in terms of uplift and extension, with or without folding. There is the possibility of a folding event predating the deposition of Porcupine assemblage rocks, to wit the interpretation above (from basalt geochemistry) suggesting that an anticline within Tisdale assemblage volcanics has been truncated at the base of the Porcupine assemblage. Other results include the identification of D1 extension, D2 south-over-north thrusting in the Porcupine–Destor deformation zone and the recognition of a stacked series of D2 thrust sheets north of the Porcupine–Destor deformation zone within the Timmins–Porcupine gold camp, with Tisdale assemblage lavas thrust over Porcupine assemblage sediments. The gold deposits lie in the hanging wall of these thrusts. Previous to identifying the stacked thrust sheets, these deposits appeared to lie in the footwall of the Porcupine–Destor deformation zone, a situation which conflicts with common observations for Archaean gold deposits elsewhere in the Abitibi Subprovince and the world generally (Robert 1990; Goldfarb, Groves and Gardoll 2001). In Timmins, geochronological results from the present study suggest a greater extent of Timiskaming assemblage sediments than previously recognized, since sediments previously assigned to the Porcupine assemblage contain young detrital zircons that suggest a Timiskaming assemblage age. Consequently, this expands the area that may contain large-scale gold deposits into areas previously not considered very prospective and hence secure guidance in seeking for hitherto unrecognized Timiskaming assemblage sediments – which clearly remain a first order key exploration target in the area. 1 The Timmins-Porcupine Gold Camp, Northern Ontario: The Anatomy of an Archean Greenstone Belt and its Gold Mineralization: Discover Abitibi Initiative, R Bateman et al 2005, Map P3555 Porcupine assemblage rock units underlie the property, which consists of mainly clastic sediments. Little known work has been completed on the present claims and an extensive review of the Ministry Of Northern Development and Mines files should be completed. The property lies north and east of the former DeSantis producing gold mine and is within an active unpatented mining claim area Option: The City of Timmins wishes to make these lands available for option to a company or individual with the capability and capacity to explore the lands for their full potential. The optionee will be required to make annual payments, complete work to the satisfaction of the City of Timmins in an amount to be determined, maintain the property in good standing and the city will retain a net smelter return of no less than 2%. Companies or individuals are invited to contact Christy Marinig or Robert Calhoun at the address given below to pose questions or to make an offer. The city wishes to expedite this process and will entertain offers made on or before October 12, 2007. The public is advised this is an option to complete exploration and mining activity and is not an auction or tender process.
