Instructed day nurse to call cardiologist and entered patient’s room. Patient found in recliner with no oxygen, diaphoretic, emesing, and 8/10 chest pain. Explanation given to patient’s family to translate while providing urgent care. Applied MONA: Morphine, Oxygen, Nitroglycerin, and Aspirin. Clinical Example     Provided day nurse with relevant data while she was on the telephone with cardiologist. Spoke to CCU nurse on the floor, who started the Tridil drip. Called House Supervisor, Bed Placement, and SWAT nurse for transfer of patient to CCU.
