Casey,
Hello Beautiful! Let me start off by saying that I am so incredibly sorry that
this letter hasn't come sooner. I have wanted to write to you for as long as I can
remember, and have tried to start this letter at least a hundred times. But every
time I sat down — I couldn't find the words. I hope you know how much I LOVE
and MISS you and that you are constantly in my thoughts and prayers. I am
sorry that I have not been able to convey that message until now. I will try to be
a better "future sister-in-law" from now on. I ask your mom about you all the
time and she tries to keep updated as much as she can. So... let's see — where
to start?!
Lee and I are doing well. We just moved into our own place. It's not too
far from your parents' house. We have a nice little house- 3bd/2ba and a fenced
in backyard for my dogs. Lee is warming up to them but it's going to take a little
time. I got Lee a turtle a few months back. When we got "him" (we don't really
know if it's a boy or a girl) he was only the size of a silver dollar. Now, he almost
takes up your whole palm. Lee named him Zam — after a bounty hunter from
Star Wars. Of course. [Side note: I swear that boy would try to name our first
born Anakin if he thought I would let him!] Anyways, he is down in South Florida
right now for the Super Bowl. He has been there for about 4 weeks now but will
be coming home soon. We just celebrated our 3 year anniversary a couple of
weeks back and Lee surprised me by coming home for the weekend. It was so
sweet and the best anniversary present I could have asked for. He really misses
you, Case. He doesn't talk about it much, but when he does... it's really hard for
him. He talks to you sometimes. He says you two have always had a
connection that allowed you to sense when one of you was thinking of or talking
to the other. It's really touching. Oh- speaking of your connection... can you
please tell me where you got that black bracelet he wears? We were at a
concert a couple of months back and Lee was wearing a wristband for a meet
and greet that they had to cut off of his wrist just before he went in.
Unfortunately, the guy cut right through the black bracelet too 0 I'm not gonna
lie, I thought all hell was going to break loose! I seriously held my breath as Lee
picked up that bracelet off of the ground because I thought he was going to beat
the crap out of that security guy. Surprisingly, as Lee picked it up off of the
ground and the security guy apologized repeatedly, Lee just said, "Its okay,
man." He was totally bummed out though but I was impressed that he handled it
so well. It was too short to tie together so we wove it through the chain on his
Caylee bracelet. It's still there, but he constantly has to tuck in the ends so it
doesn't come unraveled. I was hoping that if you could tell me where you got
them and maybe send a short message to Lee that you knew he needed a new
one, i could go and get it and then give him the bracelet and the message at the
same time. It would really mean a lot to him because you mean a lot to him.
Ok... I have to move on or I am going to get all emotional. I've been really
busy lately. I am working 40+ hours a week at Click and Park as a customer
service representative. I don't work for Lee though so that's good... we don't
need that kind of stress on our relationship! We have been really busy with the
Pro Bowl, Super Bowl, and the Vancouver Olympics. It's ridiculous and the
people who were attending these events can get really mean! Oh well... Pro
Bowl is over, Super Bowl will be over tomorrow, and then it's just the Olympics
until the end of February. J-Fred just started here as a customer service
representative as well. We needed the extra help for the Olympics and he was
willing to take a part time job for 6 weeks. I got to train him last week and he is
doing really well. Its fun to have him here and he and Brian really seem to enjoy
seeing each other on an almost daily basis. Wait until your brother gets back to
the office... having the 3 of them here together is going to be ridiculous! Nothing
will get done. Haha! On top of working so much, I am also going to UCF as a
full time student now. I have decided to get my degree in Elementary Education.
I think I want to teach the 2 nd grade. Everyone tells me that I would be a good
teacher but I think I have to learn to have a little more patience before I take on a
classroom of 7 year olds! Hopefully that will come soon enough :© I am really
enjoying school but will like it more when I am not working 7 days a week. At
least work will calm down before midterms so I won't have to worry too much
about that.
One last thing... not this last Christmas we just had, but the Christmas
before that, Lee and I decided not to give each other presents but just do
cards/letters to each other. When Lee handed me his letter, he also handed me
a letter you had written to him. When I tried to give it back, as I thought he had
given this to me in error, he said, "No. Read it. It's part of my letter." I'm sure
you know where this is going... the letter he handed me from you was a letter
you had written to him about me. It was beautiful, Casey. I began to cry
uncontrollably before I even got to the 3 rd sentence. Obviously, I gave that letter
back to him when I was done as it was from you to him. But I appreciated that he
wanted to share it with me to let me know how much I mean to him, which
included how much I mean to you. I am so happy he decided to share that with
me and even more so that you decided to share that with him. Thank you for
that. It was one of the most memorable moments in my life and I feel so lucky to
be so loved by you and your family.
I love you. I miss you. I am here for you even though you can't see me.
