NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT INTRODUCTION This agreement is between Each Lifeline Agency (the Supplier) and Southland District Council (the Custodian) regarding data supplied for the benefit of the Southland Lifelines Project. Definitions: The Supplier is the owner, steward and/or custodian of spatial data. The Custodian is the holder of the supplied spatial data. Spatial data are the digital representations of geographic features and associated attribute data. The Southland Lifelines Project is part of a nationally-promoted methodology to highlight and address vulnerabilities in engineering infrastructure to threats from natural hazards. AGREEMENT The Supplier agrees: (a) (b) To supply spatial data to be used solely for use in the Southland Lifelines Project. That all information gained through involvement in the project will remain confidential to the project and will not be passed on in any way to other parties or used for any other commercial, private, public or other purposes. The Custodian agrees: (a) Not to distribute the data in the format(s) as supplied or make that data viewable to any third party through any means without the prior written approval of the Supplier. The supplied data will be stored in an Oracle Database held on the Southland District Council server. Security of the supplied data will be guaranteed by being kept in a separate Oracle User that is password-protected. Only Southland District Council GIS staff will have access to the password-protected database. The supplied data will be processed to create derivative datasets that will be further combined using the Lifelines Project methodology. As a result of processing, the derivative datasets will not retain any supplied attribute information but may retain its spatial representation. (b) (c.)
