While it is well known that forest ecosystems are an important natural foil to carbon dioxide - sequestering and storing 10 percent of our nation's carbon dioxide emissions on an annual basis - their dynamic nature makes it difficult to accurately determine the amount of carbon benefits that forestsector activities contribute.
