There was some good news over the Summer of course. Winning the Ashes, BMW deciding to build two new versions of the Mini at Cowley, reduced personal debt for the first time in years and reports of a pick up in the property market all suggest that businesses may have a more optimistic view of the next 12 months. Retention of title is proving as important as ever. The author has also noticed an increase in the number of complaints from debtors who have been wrongly sued. Clients still get the names wrong of their customers and in the absence of evidence to the contrary proceedings are issued against the incorrectly named debtor.
