The Impact Factor for a given year is defined as the total number of citations received in that year to articles published in the previous 2 years divided by the total number of citable items published by the journal in those 2 years. Goals for the future include continued efforts to broaden and diversify reviewers, increasing manuscript submissions, and remaining focused on publishing strong clinical content useful to readers.
