Volunteer Form for Vacation Bible School 2008
VBS is run by volunteers, and we need your assistance to make it a success! Please plan to donate three hours of your time to the program. Indicate your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices for the area(s) in which you’d like to help. Volunteers will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Clean-up: Help with clean-up and lunch on Friday, June 27th. Craft Director: Test craft ideas and choose theme-related crafts. Know lesson and craft correlation. Lead and instruct craft helpers. Craft Helper: Help students make crafts. Decorations & Environment: Help design theme-related decorations for sanctuary and school. Be available on set-up day (June 22nd). Nursery Coordinator: Available all five days to be leader of the team of nursery helpers. Nursery Helper: Assist in nursery with the under five-year-olds. Recreation Coordinator: Choose theme-related recreation. Know lesson and game correlation. Lead and instruct helpers. Recreation Helper: Help with games and activities to reinforce daily theme. Service Project Coordinator: Help coordinate outreach project for the week. Set-Up Day: Help with set-up on Sunday, June 22nd h from 12:30-3:00pm. Maximum of four volunteers needed. Shopping Help: Assist with shopping for supplies. Snacks: Help prepare snacks & serve to children. Storytelling: Re-tell the bible story for the day in a dramatic fashion. Teacher: Available at least 2 days. Prepare lesson. Work with assistant to teach material in a variety of ways. Grade? ______ Teaching Assistant: Help teachers and fill in where needed. NB: Parents, please consider serving as teachers. This is our greatest need – we’re not able to run our program without teachers! Every effort will be made to put two teachers and a teen aide in each classroom every day.
