Hi Campers! Please find on the following page the Registration Form for the Beaconsfield Figure Skating Camps, 2009. We are looking forward to welcoming all of you to the camps and are excited that we have even more weeks this year!! The day is divided up as follows: the morning will be group lessons both on and off the ice; the afternoon will be private ice and “other” activities. The camp is open to all skaters who are members of Skate Canada and have passed a MINIMUM of CanSkate 3 and above (i.e. Prejunior and above). There will be an option for you to swim from 3.00 to 4.00 each day (on a pay as you go basis)…….. If you are not swimming the camp is over at 3.00pm. There is no care outside the times of the camp (9.00 am to 4.00pm). Please return this form to us with your registration form before (April 30, 2009). Preference will be given to previous campers, BFSC and 2nd Club skaters until March 31st, 2009. First come first served for spaces. I prefer a morning/afternoon _______________________(name)_________ (tel) Information Re; Figure Skating Summer Day Camp 1. Daily timetable Each day will be grouped into different sessions. The morning (9.00am to 1.00pm) will consist of approx 2.5 hours on ice, group lessons plus I hour off-ice group lessons. The afternoon (1.00pm to 4.00pm) may be different each day but will basically consist of 1 hour Private ice and 1 hour craft/ games etc, or 2 hours of craft/ games if skater does not use Private ice, followed by 1 hour of swimming (3 – 4). Please note: 1 : At all times the children will be supervised, they will not be allowed to leave the arena without an adult. 2 : It is the responsibility of the skaters to arrange the Private Ice lessons with their coaches. 2. Group Allocations Your child will be allocated to a Group for group skating lessons appropriate to his/her abilities and where possible age, but mostly on ability. These groups will operate for the morning sessions. In the afternoon the skaters will take their private lessons according to availability of coaches and spend the remaining time doing craft games etc. 3. Priority for the Camp Each form will be dated as it is received. Priority will first be given to previous campers, BFSC and 2nd Club skaters. Payment for the Camp Cheques must be made payable to “BFSC”. Full payment must accompany the form (one cheque of $50 payable immediately and the other for the remaining amount may be post-dated for 31st May, 2009) A receipt will be given to you for attendance at this summer DAY CAMP. 5. Volunteering to help Please consider giving up one afternoon or morning to help at the camp. The morning involves helping out with changing skates, looking after skaters, moving groups etc. The afternoon means sitting down with exhausted skaters helping them to do craft, watch movies etc. Both are LOTS of fun!!!
