Conditions of award
The Annual Association of Pacific Rim Universities Doctoral Students Conference Scholarship
provides funding for University of Sydney students presenting papers at the Annual Association of
Pacific Rim Universities Doctoral Students to cover travel and other expenses.
1. In order to be eligible, students must:
    - Be currently enrolled or under examination in a doctoral degree (by research or coursework) at
        the University of Sydney at the scholarship closing date. The student may be enrolled full-time
        or part-time.
    - Have a paper accepted to present at the Annual Association of Pacific Rim Universities
        Doctoral Students Conference
2. To apply, students must submit a CV and the abstract of their paper to the Graduate Studies Office
by the due date.
3. The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of merit, as assessed by a panel of not less than three
people.
4. The value and number of scholarships awarded will depend on the funding available, provided there
is an application of sufficient merit. The scholarship may be shared.
5. The scholarship shall be paid directly to the recipient prior to the conference. If the recipient does
not attend the conference, they will be required to refund the scholarship to the University of Sydney.
6. The recipient is responsible for all travel arrangements, including but not limited to, airfares,
transfers, visas, insurance, meals, medical and any incidental costs. The recipient is not required to
provide receipts or other evidence of expenditure.
