2009 HOLIDAY FARMERS MARKET AND CRAFT SHOW

Farmers Market Pavilion- Moultrie Middle School -Coleman Boulevard
The Town of Mount Pleasant invites all interested farmers, food vendors, artists and craft vendors to submit applications for its annual Holiday
Farmers Market and Craft Show.
The show will be moved this year to the new Farmers Market Pavilion. Fewer spaces will be available and vendors will be selected based
on a percentage of each type of craft. This will help to create a balanced show and an opportunity for all vendors to sell their crafts. Please
be specific in your descriptions of what you sell.
DATE, TIME & LOCATION:
Saturday, December 12, 2009 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Farmers Market Pavilion at Moultrie Middle School on Coleman Blvd. The Holiday Market
is an outdoor event and there are no rain dates. Setup may not begin before 8:00 a.m. and booths may not be broken down until 3:00 p.m. All vendors
must remove their booths by 4:00 p.m.
ACCEPTABLE TO MARKET:
Farmers: Produce grown by you (at least 40%) and produce indigenous to the State of South Carolina.
Prepared Food Vendors and Cooking Demonstrations: Food products must be prepared or altered by the vendor and adhere to DHEC rules
Craft Vendors: Original works in graphics, photography, clay, glass, fiber, metal, basketry, leather, jewelry, wood, musical instruments and mixed
UNACCEPTABLE TO MARKET:
Farmers: Produce brokers, rather than farmers.
Food Vendors: Food kits or products purchased in bulk and packaged for resale
Craft Vendors: Imports, kits, unfinished work, manufactured leather or decoupage. Commercial or mass-produced items are not acceptable.
All booth spaces will be 10’X10’, although there may be some irregularities due to trees, etc. Booth spaces from previous years are not guaranteed.
Electricity is available in limited areas and will not be guaranteed. If you require electricity, please mark your application accordingly. All participants
must supply their own booth materials such as tables, chairs, tents, etc Booth entry fee is $25 per space.
Tents are not available for this years event. Vendors may bring a 10 x 10 pop up tent.
No business permit is required to participate in this event. The Town of Mount Pleasant purchases an umbrella permit to cover each vendor for
• Submit a complete application to the Town of Mount Pleasant at 100 Ann Edwards Lane, PO Box 745, Mount Pleasant, SC 29465
• Photograph of work to be sold (Photos will not be returned).
• Check or money order payable to the Town of Mount Pleasant for booth fee.
Entry deadline is November 6, 2009 (Postmarked). Faxed applications will not be accepted. Applicant’s notification of acceptance with booth
assignments and detail set-up and break-down instructions will be mailed by November 25, 2009.
If for some reason you are unable to attend the Market, you may request a full refund of your booth entry fee no later than December
