Carlile Expands Service to Hawaii
(Anchorage, Alaska) Carlile Transportation Systems announced new containership and
barge service between the U.S. West Coast and Hawaii. Customers with business
contacts in Hawaii can now depend on an expanded Carlile Transportation System
network that encompasses the 50th state.

Carlile offers containership and barge services to Honolulu from Tacoma, Oakland and
Long Beach. Delivery among the islands is via a seamless inter-island shipping network.
Carlile’s expertise in project cargo, schedule-sensitive delivery, and on-time logistics
ensures the same high level of service our customers have come to expect.

Transportation CEO Harry McDonald, “With the addition of service to Hawaii we can

Founded in 1980 by brothers John and Harry McDonald, Carlile has grown from two
tractors to one of Alaska's largest trucking companies. Carlile Transportation Systems is
based in Anchorage, Alaska and has 635 employees, including 110 at the Tacoma
location. Carlile terminals serve Alaska from Anchorage, Fairbanks, Kenai, Kodiak,
Prudhoe Bay/Deadhorse, Seward, Forest Lake, Tacoma, Houston and Edmonton.
