This workshop will take you through the steps of setting up your company using QuickBooks®. You will leave with the skills to help you set up your own cash-based company. You will learn how to write checks, make deposits, reconcile your bank account and print financial reports. This class is offered three times: • February 12 Time: 1 pm – 5 pm
Using QuickBooks to Track and Pay Sales and Use Tax
You will learn how to set up QuickBooks® to help you track and pay your sales tax liabilities accurately and efficiently. This class is offered: • January 22 • March 19 Time: 1 pm - 4 pm
Advanced QuickBooks® Features
Using QuickBooks® for Retail & Service Industries
This workshop introduces you to the more complex accrual method features within QuickBooks® such as, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Inventory. This class is offered two times: • February 19 Time: 1 pm - 5 pm
This workshop on Advanced Features will offer the following topics: Customizing Reports; Using the Fixed Asset Manager; Using the Loan Manager; Creating Budgets; Writing Letters Using MS Word; and Exporting Reports to Excel. This class is offered on: • January 29 • March 26 Time: 1 pm - 4 pm
Using QuickBooks® for Construction
This workshop introduces you to features within QuickBooks® such as, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, and Estimating & Job -Costing. This class is offered two times: • February 26 Time: 1 pm - 5 pm
QuickBooks® Year-End Procedures
Using QuickBooks® for Payroll-Session One
Learn how to do your own payroll using QuickBooks®. You will learn how to setup payroll items and employee information. This topic is not complete unless it is followed by Session Two. This class is offered: • January 14 • March 5 Time: 1 pm - 4 pm
This workshop will help you prepare for closing your books and getting ready for tax time. You will learn many techniques to help “groom” your balance sheet by identifying errors and making the necessary corrections with appropriate documentation. The proper use of journal entries will be discussed. A year-end checklist will be provided for follow-up back at the office. W2’s, 1099’s and other common year-end tasks will be discussed. This class is offered on: • February 5 Time: 1 pm - 4 pm
Using QuickBooks® for Tracking Payroll Liabilities -Session Two
This workshop introduces you to your state and federal payroll responsibilities. You will learn how to use QuickBooks® to help track and pay your payroll taxes. This session is the second in a two-part series. Session one is a prerequisite. This class is offered on: • January 15 • March 12 Time: 1 pm - 4 pm
This Quickbooks® Series will be presented by Mary Richmond, a 11-year Quickbooks® Pro Advisor who has assisted hundreds of businesses in training and set-up. The classes will be taught using a projected image in a classroom (not a computer lab) setting. These classes will be held in the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Training Room, 1420 Butte Street. Each class will cost $35 per person.
