When Are My NIH Progress Reports Due
Document Sample

"When Are My NIH Progress Reports Due?"
NIH progress reports are due 60 days before the start of the next funding period. NIH
provides a helpful resource to assist with tracking upcoming due dates and non-
competing continuations. See below for instructions on getting started:
1. Go to http://era.nih.gov/userreports/pr_due.cfm
2. Enter the Chicago campus IPF # 6144650 or Evanston campus IPF # 6144601
3. Sort by Due Date or PI Name
4. Submit Query
The search will result in a table layout showing:
Organization: NU
Grant #
PI Name
LY: a * in this field means the grant is entering its last year
SNAP: a Y in this field means the grant is SNAP-eligible and the progress report can be
submitted via NIH Commons
Due Date: All dates are listed as the first of the month sixty days before the next funding
cycle; however, for SNAP-eligible grants, you can add two weeks to that date, e.g., an
11/1/07 due date on a SNAP project won't actually be "overdue" until 11/16/07. NIH
provides two "extra weeks" for progress reports submitted electronically.
Note: This web page resource will provide you with a four to six month window
on upcoming progress report due dates.
