Region Food Service Coordinators are to complete school site visitations by utilizing the
following on-line visitation report forms.
Breakfast and Lunch Compliance Visitations Criteria – Each Region Food Service
Coordinator is required to conduct a minimum of one breakfast and/or lunch review at each
assigned school, and special center or program during each school year. It will be at the
discretion of the coordinator to determine whether a school requires an additional breakfast
and lunch review.
Free and Reduced Price Meal Policy Compliance Visitation Criteria – A free and
reduced price meal counting and claiming procedure review must be completed at all
assigned school sites by February 1st of each school year.
Inventory Control Compliance Visitation Criteria – Base and Self contained schools
must be reviewed on purchased and commodity inventory control during each school year.
It will be at the discretion of the coordinator to determine whether a school requires an
additional inventory control review.
Sanitation and Safety Compliance Visitation Criteria – All schools must be reviewed on
sanitation and safety procedures during the school year. It will be at the discretion of the
coordinator to determine whether a school requires an additional sanitation and safety
review.
Cash Control and Accountability Compliance Visitation Criteria – All schools must be
reviewed on cash control and accountability procedures during each school year.

Region Food Service Coordinators are required to visit each assigned school a minimum of
three times during the school year. During these visits assistance should also be provided
on day to day operations such as:
• Food Ordering/Portions Planned
• Electronic Mail
• Cash Registers/Cash Control Procedures
• Daily Record Keeping/Organization
• Food Service Procedures
• Computerized Inventory System
• Renovations/Alternate Feeding Provisions
Additional visitations should be documented on a supplement visitation form(s).
NOTE: Special centers require a breakfast or lunch review only. Any additional visits
are at the discretion of the Region Food Service Coordinator.
Summer Food Service Program I Visitation Criteria – Region Food Service Coordinators
are required to complete a minimum of one breakfast and/or lunch in each assigned
summer school. In addition, assistance should be given on day to day operations as
needed (i.e. e-mail, food ordering, inventory).
