Cuzzy is just a bunch of guys who share a passion for music and have a great time getting together to create it. The two true cousins of the band are Bobby (Drums) and Kenny (Guitar). These two share the same intesity for their love of music, and it really shows when they jam together. Kennys love for the guitar is apparent as soon as he strums the first chord, and Bobbys dynamic drum beats will keep you tapping your toes all night! Along with the drums, driving our rhythm section is Curt (Bass). Kenny and Curt have been playing together for the past 25 years, and their synchronized timing really holds the whole band together. Adding his own special touch to the project is Mike

Dear JL, I am confused. What is the rule of etiquette for buying drinks these days? I feel as though I am required to buy drinks for women whenever I am out, but I can't afford to keep this up. I'm afraid if I don't offer, I will be regarded as cheap. I'm not dating anyone, but I still feel like it is my "macho duty" whenever I'm out with female friends or meeting women. What is the acceptable social protocol? Kevin

Kevin, what etiquette?? Men buy drinks in hopes of getting laid! So really the only rule how many drinks will it take to get her drunk? And if I buy them, is it worth it? Sometimes its better to lower your standards if you’re a little short and go for that pudgy dog faced gremlin sitting away from her pack. Three shots and “ ..you know, I really feel like I would like to get to know you better” ( yea right) . So its not about ‘duty” Its about the getting into the Booty!! JL

It’s obvious in today’s economic downturn that our dollars are not coming close to stretching as far as they used to. This is why we now have to get creative in promoting and marketing ourselves. Just think if you get used to it now, how much more profit you will have when things do turn around (optimistic…I know). My first rule of thumb as a marketing professional that works in a non profit environment is FREE FIRST! What I mean by this is you never ever want to start negotiations for something at anything more than free. Start at the bottom and work your way up. Do everything in your power to promote yourself that is free: myspace, facebook, event websites, etc. You should be “googling” constantly to see what is out there that is free for you to use to promote yourself, your business or your band. Constantly make new friends wherever you go, and never ever ask some one to do something for you on your first meeting! You should really get to know people and their talents before you ask for their help in any way. You should
also be willing to help them out when necessary as well. The world truly is about who you know more so than what you know. And to quote another favorite phrase, “what goes around comes around”, if you are willing and able to help out others who are in need, when it’s your turn chances are they will be more than willing to provide the assistance that you need. Get to know the media, because they print things that are news worthy of course, but they also like to print things from people they know. So make friends with them and keep them updated on what you are doing that is newsworthy. I would love to take questions from anyone who is interested in getting some free marketing advice with answers being posted right here in Exciting City Magazine. Send your questions to www. myspace. com/excitingcitymagazine and my responses will be in future issues! Never give up, there is always a way to get what you want, you just have to find the right path. Andrea S. Victor Marketing Director Best Artist Management

ARTIST OF THE WEEK
By Rhonda Readence dates throughout the Midwest. This prompted the pair to seek out a drummer and they asked Mikey Georgalis to join the band. This changed the dynamic of the group greatly, and Forget Failing was off and running. Mikey Georgalis left the band in June of 2008 to pursue other opportunities, and Jeff and Matt promptly filled the vacant spot with Adam Cerutti’s hard hitting drum techniques. The trio immediately began to get gigs at venues like Peabodys, the Agora, and local stages all around the Cleveland area. Forget Failing has since made a name for themselves with their poetic, optimistic lyrics and signature sound. radio stations and requesting their songs. You can also go to their website, www.forgetfailing.com, where you can listen to some of their songs and purchase their debut EP. You can also check them out at myspace.com/forgetfailingrock. The band will be performing live on Baldwin Wallace’s radio station, 88.3, on Wednesday February 25th at 8:00 a.m., so be sure to tune in for that. You can also listen online by going to www.wbwc.com. If you’d like to call local radio stations to request Forget Failing songs, here is a list of some of the songs from the EP “Disasterpiece”: History, Addiction, Forgetting to Fail, Valediction, Kinda Goodbye (my favorite), and Dance With Me. You can reach the following stations at the numbers below: WMMS: KROCK: WQAL: 88.3 WBWC: 88.7 John Carrol: 88.9 The Alternation: 216-578-1007 216-861-0100 216-578-0104 440-826-7846 216-397-4438 330-626-4906
Forget Failing
“Disasterpiece is a Masterpiece”
Forget Failing is a three piece Cleveland-based band who has recently released their debut EP titled “Disasterpiece.” The trio has been relentless in their efforts to promote the EP. Singer and guitarist Jeff Dunay was kind enough to provide me with a copy, and the album title “Disasterpiece” seems to have a bit of a sarcastic element to it, as I would have to give the EP an excellent review and wonder
why the band did not opt to call it Masterpiece. In addition to Jeff Dunay on vocals and guitar, Forget Failing consists of Matt Chase on bass and backing vocals and Adam Cerutti on drums. Jeff and Matt originally started the band as a power acoustic duo in the summer of 2007. Forget Failing cut their teeth when a mutual friend called and asked the duo to open for his band for several tour
The band name itself, Forget Failing, rolls very nicely off the tongue and tends to bring about a feeling of accomplishment. Forget Failing indeed. Failing is not an option. And the lyrics on the EP “Disasterpiece” prove that this is a motto that the band not only plays by, but lives by as well. Forget Failing is asking their many fans to help them promote their EP “Disasterpiece” by calling local
