A degree or diploma in business/marketing, communications or web technology, with a multimedia
background and at least five years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and
experience is required. A web communications and design background is required. Expertise in html editors
is required. Java script expertise is necessary and knowledge of dynamic content creation such as active
server page coding would be an asset. Must have excellent consultation skills, the ability to problem -solve in
challenging situations, a high level of initiative and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with international accessibility standards is an asset. Bilingual in both official languages would
be an asset.

Internet Business Analysts are part of Communications Services Manitoba’s central team providing Internet
services to all provincial government departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for
consulting across government about internet content, project management and assisting in short and long
term web strategies within the Internet Services unit. Specific duties include supporting the effective use of
multimedia within provincial standards. Their working knowledge of multimedia technologies enables them to
advise clients on internet communications effectiveness. Their Internet communications background will
enable them to effectively consult on internal projects, coordinate and manage internet projects and
coordinate other staff and external suppliers involved in these activities. The Internet business analyst
continues to research current and emerging technologies for communicating with public and industry
