Southern Methodist University College Hispanic American Students (SMU CHAS) will host its 26th Annual Hispanic
Issues Forum (HIF) on Saturday, April 5, 2008 from 8:00am- 4:00pm at the SMU Hughes-Trigg Student Center.

HIF is an annual conference that focuses on promoting higher education, leadership, and awareness of current
Hispanic issues to youth. This year’s theme is “Be the leader today for the change that you want to see
tomorrow” and topics include: Latino voting, presidential candidate platform debate, immigration reform debate,
leadership development, the Dream Act/how undocumented citizens can attain higher education, a career showcase,
plus more!

Our keynote speaker is US Senate Candidate Rick Noriega! Our other speakers include prominent SMU alumni
and Dallas career leaders in addition to Raymond Rico.

At lunch each attendee will be paired up with a career professional of their interest so please include what kind of
careers you are interested in below.
