    Pyramid Plus: Real-Life Nutrition for Teens
           FREE Curriculum Trainings
Description: This curriculum developed by Nutrition Education Services/Oregon Dairy Council
motivates and teaches teens to make nutrient-rich food choices. Lessons incorporate MyPyramid and
the Dietary Guidelines to address nutrition topics for teens. Each lesson includes a detailed alignment
to National and Oregon Health Education Standards and Benchmarks, and Oregon Career Related
Learning Standards. The curriculum also meets the curriculum component of many district wellness
policies.

AUDIENCE: High School Health, PE and FACS Teachers, Counselors and Prevention Specialists

PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE AT NO COST
•   One complete Pyramid Plus curriculum
•   Certificate of completion of 6-hours of professional development

OBJECTIVES

•   Familiarize participants with theory and research that support the curricula.
