Dear Chris:
I am pleased to offer you a position with Washington State University. The terms of the offer are as
follows:
Title : Scientific Assistant, Department of Crop & Soil Sciences. This is an
Administrative Professional position located in Pullman, WA or other location
as assigned.
Working Title: Add working title here, if applicable.
Salary: The appointment is 1.0 FTE at a monthly salary of $2,375.00.
Effective Date: The appointment is effective August 15, 2003. (indicate an end date if a
temporary appointment)
Conditions: This is a temporary appointment which will terminate on the date specified
and will not be renewed unless positive action is taken to renew your
appointment. Accumulated annual leave must be used prior to the termination
date unless you obtain a written exception from the College Dean and
Department Chair. (Add this paragraph only if this appointment is
temporary.)
The WSU Intellectual Property policy, which is included in the Administrative
Professional and Administrative Faculty Handbook is a condition of your
employment, provides that certain intellectual properties developed within the
scope of your employment or association, or developed with substantial use of
university facilities, or developed under third party funding agreements are
considered to be the property of the University. For any intellectual property
in which the University has an interest, you are hereby agreeing to execute
promptly all assignments, waivers and other legal documents necessary to vest
in the University or its assignee any and all rights to the intellectual property
developed during this employment. You may access this Intellectual Property
