CMSs are frequently used for storing, controlling, versioning, and publishing documentation. The content managed info may include computer files, image media, audio files, video files, electronic documents, and Web content. CMS and Wikis are great tools for libraries. Check out our links! Open Source ILS Koha is the first open-source Integrated Library System (ILS). In use worldwide, its development is steered by a growing community of libraries collaborating to achieve their technology goals. Butte Silver Bow Public Library is the first public library in Montana to move to an open source ILS with Koha . BSB Public Library contracts with LibLime for support and implementation of innovations in customizing the ILS interface. Introduction to open source ILS- Koha and LibLime Q and A 2. Introduction to CMS and Wiki for semantic library information management 3. Use and view the Koha 3.02 ILS, CMS and Wiki features Q and A Program format: Two presenters, if a computer lab is available, we could easily do hands-on with the Koha catalogue and/or WordPress CMS. There would be time for Q and A throughout the presentation. Program Logistics: Depending on the size of the room we may need a microphone. We will bring our own equipment but need a white wall of screen for projection (power and internet access). A portable lab would be great, if possible. (We could possibly borrow one from MSL?) August 5th is my birthday (Lee) and I would love to spend it in Missoula! BSB Public Library hosts the author series for An Ri Ra, the Montana Irish Festival in uptown Butte – August 7-9, 2009. We would have a conflict on the 6 th and the 7th. Please let your conference attendees know that the festival is a perfect way to wrap up the conference!
