									                     EDITORIAL
This is the first issue of the eighteenth regular edition of our senior journal. This is
one of the ways through which we are reaching towards the very zenith of
psychology practice in this millennium. It contains twenty brilliant articles from all
areas of applied psychology.

The opener enhances psychometrics and clinical psychology which was submitted
by Dr. A.O Coker and our late departed friend, member of the editorial board, and
member of trustees; Professor P.F Omoluabi. Some of his students and friends have
paid tributes to him. We shall painfully miss him. Miss Itua Obehi and Dr. Charles
Umeh are two of his students who submitted the obituaries that follow. Professor
Sola Olowu, a classmate and close associate wrote the third obituary.

Dr. Jane Gatumu from Kenya has contributed an article that enhances educational
psychology and curriculum studies. Mr. S.O Frimpong, wrote a piece on sex
education in senior high schools in Kumasi, Ghana. The three scholars from Ilorin
wrote on the efficacy of group counseling interventions in remedying truancy among
school-going adolescents. Dr. Grace Adejuwon; an established developmental
psychologist studied the consequences of childhood adversity on health concer
