LSRPM-VMA series
Permanent magnet synchronous motors
with integrated electronic drive for swimming-pool pumps
educing CO2 emissions is one of the major challenges we face in
R saving the environment. Motorised applications account for a very
significant proportion of energy consumption.
The use of variable speed and optimisation of mechanical systems are the main
routes to achieving maximum savings.
♦ DYNEO®, INNOVATION:
DYNEO®, at the cutting edge of commercially-available variable speed
technologies, brings together all LEROY-SOMER’s permanent magnet
solutions for drives and synchronous motors.
Part of the DYNEO® offer, the LSRPM-VMA series, the cost effective, high-
performance variable speed solution, uses the most up-to-date design
techniques. This new motor-drive set fully meets the expectations of users and
integrators of swimming-pool filter pumps and swims against the tide for
swimming-pool applications:
CPP - 22.10.08 – 1/2
- IP 55 construction in accordance with IEC 60034
- Power rating from 0.75 to 3 kW
- Speed from 1 to 3600 rpm
♦ DYNEO®, ENERGY SAVINGS:
By reducing rotor losses, the permanent magnet rotor technology greatly
improves efficiency, specific output power as well as motor service life.
At rated speed, LSRPM-VMA motors in the DYNEO ® range have significantly
better efficiency than high-efficiency induction motor-drive sets.
This difference in efficiency becomes even more significant when operating
below rated speed, which is by definition the case in variable speed
applications!
Additional advantage of the LSRPM-VMA motor-drive set: the ability to rotate
faster than an induction motor, which allows:
- the motor speed to be adapted to that of the driven pump,
- the pump to be driven at its highest hydraulic efficiency point.
The return on investment time compared to a conventional solution is very
often less than 12 months.
♦ DYNEO ®, INTERCHANGEABILITY:
The LSRPM-VMA series is completely interchangeable with single or three-
phase asynchronous motors traditionally used in this application.
Stainless steel shaft ends and aluminium flanges are adapted for various
existing pump housings.
