DRAW seeks auction items for Chicago fundraiser

The Drag Racing Association of Women will hold its annual auction at the United Association Route 66 NHRA

Nationals presented by Miller Welders in Chicago Saturday, June 5. The event will include the usual silent and live

auctions. DRAW needs items for its 2010 live and silent auctions. In addition to the large annual silent and live

auctions in Chicago, a live auction is held in September during the Dallas event, and small silent auctions are held

throughout the season.

The range of items popular at these auctions includes racing collectibles, vehicle parts, custom or handmade

treasures, T-shirts, team shirts, memorabilia items, and anything autographed — in other words, a little bit of

everything and anything. If you have something you no longer want, remember the old saying, “One man’s junk is

presented by another man’s treasure.” Don’t throw it out. Give it to DRAW for the auctions. Send auction items to DRAW

Auction, c/o Rosalee Noble, 4 Hance Drive, Charleston, IL 61920.

Mark your name on your contribution clearly on the inside and outside of the package so that the item can be

properly credited. For a form to include with auction items, log on to DRAW’s website, www.drawfasthelp.org, and

scroll down to the article “Donations Needed for 2010 Auctions.”

Improvements Items for the Chicago auction should be shipped to arrive no later than May 29. Items may also be dropped off at

the DRAW booth on the Manufacturers Midway at any national event prior to the Chicago race or at the auction site

Speedworld Dragstrip in Northwest between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the day of the auction, June 5. For more information, call Noble, 217-345-6537;
