PROFESSIONAL PRACTITIONER DIPLOMA IN HYPNOTHERAPY & PSYCHOTHERAPY
Internationally accredited course run in association with the Essex Institute for Clinical Hypnosis (EICH), UK, and fully accredited by the Association for Professional Hypnosis & Psychotherapy (APHP) and the National Register for Advanced Hypnotherapy (NRAH).

VENUE COURSE STRUCTURE
Mercure Hotel, Seef, Bahrain (tbc) 10 Modules – taught as 10 consecutive 2-day weekend training sessions held over one academic year, providing a total of 160+ hours of tuition and tutorials, plus home study between modules, totalling approx. 600 hours. Materials & support provided include:
A 160,000+ word professionally written and prepared course delivered through 10 modules. 16 Audio support tutorials on 8 CDs. A comprehensive reading list – with required textbooks provided in course fee. Free email/telephone/fax tutorial support Graduation Pack incl. additional manuals, audio-CD material, copyright-free music, framed Diploma, etc.
ASSESSMENT
Two assessed essays of 1,000 – 1,500 words each, plus other assignments covering theory and practice, case studies, a mid-course exam leading to Certified status, and end of course written examination (externally moderated) to graduate with the full Diploma.
COURSE OUTCOME All students who successfully complete the course and pass the final examination are entitled to use the letters ‘DHPP’ or ‘Dip.HP’ (Diploma in Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy) after their name and on stationary and in advertising. They will also be entitled to licentiate status and certification by several major UK and international organisations for practising hypnotherapists and to use the relevant letters:
The Hypnotherapy Society (LHS) The National Council for Hypnotherapy (MNCH by individual portfolio route) The National Council of Psychotherapists (LNCP) The Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (LCP) The National Association for Advanced Hypnotherapy (MNRAH) The Association for Professional Hypnosis & Psychotherapy (MAPHP). APHP is an international professional association with a new branch for the Middle East region. Participants registered on the Diploma course will receive free Associate membership of APHP during their period of study.
Diploma graduates will also be eligible to obtain professional liability insurance to practise and for registration as providers of clinical hypnotherapy by both the NHS (National Health Service) in the UK, and a number of providers of medical insurance, including BUPA.

COURSE DATES
2007 Modules 1 – 3: Nov 2nd-3rd, Nov 23rd-24th, Dec 14th-15th. 2008 Modules 4 – 10: Jan 4th-5th, Jan 25th-26th, Feb 15th-16th, Mar 14th-15th, Apr 11th-12th, May 15th-16th, Jun 13th-14th. Graduation event (date tbc) Sept 2008
NB: All Module weekends are held on Fri-Sat in accordance with changes adopted by the government of Bahrain in 2006. Dates have been set to avoid clashes with Islamic, public and school holidays.
Attendance 9am – 6 pm daily on each Module training weekends.
Those who miss any taught sessions will receive tutorial support to catch up on any missed material and may be required to submit additional work for assessment. There is an alternative shorter 8-module Distance Learning/Home Study option but there are limitations to this version and its availability. Successful completion will lead to Associate rather than Full Membership of the relevant professional societies. To achieve Full Membership will require 2 years of post-qualifying supervised clinical practice. Contact Course Leader for information on this option.
COURSE FEES
BD 1,950 including all course materials (handouts, audio-CDs, set textbooks, Diploma certificate, graduation ceremony, plus lunches & refreshments on all training weekends. Places secured on payment of non-refundable deposit of BD 650, with the full balance due a minimum of 2 weeks before the commencement of the course. Payment may be made by instalments as follows: Initial non-refundable deposit of BD 650, with a further 10 monthly instalments of BD 150 each (total price BD 2,150 includes administration fee). Instalment payments are due on 1st of each month, commencing 1st Oct 2007, and may be made by postdated cheques, Bank TT or Standing Order arrangements, or by Visa credit card. Students wishing to pay by instalments will be required to sign an Instalment Agreement.

ADMISSION
The course is suitable for a wide variety of individuals, ranging from experienced health professionals and therapists, to complete beginners who have a genuine interest in this subject and in helping others. Prospective students should complete the Application Form and supply a CV and a short letter outlining their reasons for wishing to take this course, followed by a satisfactory interview and/or references. Acceptance is at the discretion of the Course Leader. Once an application is accepted a firm offer of a place will be made and confirmed on receipt of the non-refundable deposit.
