Instructions for Viewing and Downloading PowerPoint Presentations
Note: To view PowerPoint presentations, you must have Microsoft PowerPoint installed on your computer. Otherwise, you can download for free Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer, which allows you to view and print presentations: PowerPoint Viewer for Windows users PowerPoint Viewer for Macintosh users
To view a PowerPoint presentation in your web browser: Click on the link to the PowerPoint presentation. For Internet Explorer users: o The presentation will either open automatically in PowerPoint or a dialog box appears prompting you to Open or Save the file. Click on the Open button.
For Firefox users: o The presentation will either open automatically in PowerPoint or a dialog box appears asking you “What should Firefox do with this file?” You can either Open with or Save to Disk. Select the Open with option, leave the default software set at Microsoft Office PowerPoint, and then click OK. (If you do not have PowerPoint installed on your computer, see note on installing PowerPoint Viewer above.)
For Netscape Navigator and Mozilla users: o The presentation with either open automatically in PowerPoint or a dialog box appears asking you “What should Mozilla do with this file?” You can choose from Open it with the default application (PowerPoint), Open it with (and then select an application), or Save it to Disk. Select the Open it with the default application (PowerPoint) and then click OK. (If you do not have PowerPoint installed on your computer, see note on installing PowerPoint Viewer above.)
To download a PowerPoint presentation and save it to your computer: Personal computer users should right-click on the link to the PowerPoint presentation and choose Save Target As… (for Internet Explorer users), Save Link Target As… (for Netscape Navigator and Mozilla users), and Save Link As… (for Firefox users). Then choose a location to save the presentation on your computer. Open Microsoft PowerPoint, click on File, Open, and return to the location where you saved the presentation file and click Open. Macintosh users should hold down the mouse button on the link to the PowerPoint presentation and choose Download Link to Disk… (for Internet Explorer users) or Save this Link As… (for Netscape Navigator users). Then choose a location to save the presentation on your computer. Open Microsoft PowerPoint, click on File, Open, and return to the location where you saved the presentation to open the file.

Instructions for Accessing and Printing Speaker Notes
To access Speaker Notes in PowerPoint. In order to access the speaker notes associated with the presentation, you must download the presentation to your computer (see To download a PowerPoint presentation and save it to your computer instructions above). Open Microsoft PowerPoint and then click on File, Open. Go to the location where you saved the presentation, click on the file, and then select Open. Once the presentation has opened, select View, Notes Pages from the toolbar.
To print a Presentation with Speaker Notes in PowerPoint. A presentation can be printed out showing the speaker notes. Open Microsoft PowerPoint and then click on File, Open. Go to the location where you saved the presentation, click on the file, and then select Open. When you are ready to print, select File, Print from the toolbar. Select Notes Pages from the Print What dropdown menu options. Change any other printing options necessary. Then click on the OK button.
