Describe the major differences between the current “Codabar” and new “ISBT 128” blood product labels. This will avoid confusion, delays, and mistakes. As of May 1, 2008 some units will be ISBT labeled (ie the few that UCSD orders from SDBB).   When Am Red Cross switches to ISBT labels (next year), all blood labels will be ISBT 128.
