Using Labels and/or Envelopes:
1. Create your list of parishioners for whom you wish to create labels or envelopes. A. When creating labels for your entire parish go to Queries. Select Family Data. Click on Names (upper right side of screen). Then click on the Search Database button. Sort list by clicking on Sort By on the top of the Queries Print List screen. Select desired sorting criteria. B. When creating labels for envelopes, go to Queries. Select Family Data. Click on Envelopes (upper right side of screen). Click on the Search Database button. Sort list by clicking on Sort By on the top of the Queries Print List screen. Select desired sorting criteria. 2. Click on Print from the Queries Print List. 3. Click on File. 4. Scroll down the list to the document titled “Envelope.doc” or Labels****.doc” and highlight it by clicking once with the left mouse button. 5. Click on Open. 6. At the print message screen click on the Family Data button. 7. Microsoft Word will open and display the first page of labels/envelopes. 8. Place the labels or the envelopes in your printer tray. 9. Click on the Merge to Printer button or Merge to New Document and then Print.
When you are creating labels in association with a letter or statement:
1. 2. 3. 4. Create your list of parishioners to whom you wish to mail letter, statement, etc. Click on Print from the Queries Print List. Specify the letter or statement that you are printing and click on Open. Specify Family, Member or Funds as the type of data you wish to print. When you specify Funds as data-type you will go to the Funds Output Specification screen to stipulate fund and date specifications. 5. After you have printed the letters or statements close Microsoft Word. 6. The TLC Census System will re-appear on your screen displaying the Queries section where you generated your list. The list is still displayed in the Queries Print List. 7. Click on Print from the Queries Print List again. 8. Click on File. 9. Scroll down the list to the document titled “Envelope.doc” or Labels****.doc” and highlight it by clicking once with the left mouse button. 10. Click on Open. 11. At the print message screen click on the Family Data button. 12. Microsoft Word will open and display the first page of labels/envelopes. 13. Place the labels or the envelopes in your printer tray. 14. Click on the Merge to Printer button or Merge to New Document and then Print.
**** indicates the formatting number for the labels you use. For example Labels5160.doc correspond with Avery labels number 5160 (also Maco 3000). Using Labels and Envelopes Page 1
