									This policy is used by a company to inform new employees of a ninety (90) day
probationary period upon beginning employment. The probationary period is mandatory
and new employees are considered "at-will" during this period. Once the probationary
period has concluded, the employee's manager will prepare a performance review. This
is a standard policy and it may be customized to reflect the specific policy of the
company. This is an important provision to be used by a company's human resources
department or included in the employee handbook.
                                          Probationary Period Policy

When any employee first begins employment at                         [PROVIDE NAME OF
COMPANY], they will begin a ninety (90) day probationary period. This time will be used for
the employees to learn their job, and become familiar with the company environment, and their
co-workers and manager. The employees are expected to also familiarize themselves with the
company rules and regulations.

This probationary period is mandatory for all new employees. This is considered “at-will”
employment, and as such, there is no guarantee that the employment will continue for any
specific period of time. Please be advised that “at-will” employment means that you may be
terminated at any time, and for any reason.

Once your probation period has concluded, a performance review will be prepared by your
manager.
