Project management hell is an uncomfortable place to be, but sometimes the path to it looks inviting. You get there by slowly, but surely, letting the scope of a project widen until it is trying to achieve too much. The first step is to agree the objectives at the project. On the content front, with plenty of rapid e-learning tools available and restricted budgets and trainers, it could be worth taking the do-it-yourself route and creating e-learning content internally. You need to be clear about expectations, with written terms of reference, milestones and performance measures. It is important to have a process for managing changes to the scope of the project and any major or minor content changes.
