             TITLE: Student Assistant Level II – Student and Enrollment Services

RESPONSIBLE TO: Student and Enrollment Services Manager

QUALIFICATIONS: Enrolled in a minimum of 6 semester credits at the Kachemak Bay Campus.
                Possess good interpersonal skills, especially strong written and oral
                communication ability. Active listening, genuine interest in other people, and
                strong verbal skills are essential. Ability to answer phones and take messages
                accurately; and be able to greet faculty, staff, students and the general public.
                Knowledge of general office practices and procedures and experience with
                general office equipment desirable. Ability to maintain student confidentiality is

        POSITION Student and Enrollment Services serve the public and current students with
       SUMMARY: enrollment, admissions, financial aid, academic advising and support, and
                 general campus information. SES is on the ground floor of the East Campus.
                 Student assistants provide general office support to the SES staff.

  MAJOR DUTIES: 1. Reception in person, over the telephone or responding to general inquiries via
                mail or email as directed.
                2. Provide general office assistance including filing, typing, copying, and mail
                3. Assist with the registration process.
                4. Bookstore assistance including stocking shelves and cashiering.
                5. Recruitment and marketing assistance: flyers, promotions, etc.
                6. Assist with preparation and conducting various events: graduation, career
                fairs, financial aid and other workshops.
                7. Assist students utilizing placement testing and web-based services.
                8. Perform other related duties as assigned

 SALARY/HOURS: $7.50/hr. minimum. 12 hours per week with possible weeks up to 40.
