JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Print Supervisor (14-19) (Job Ref: OCR281) Division/ Business Stream: Operations/Service Delivery, OCR Location: Cambridge Reports to (job title): Assessment Production Manager JOB PURPOSE • To supervise the ordering of print and day-to-day interaction with Océ, to support the reduction in errors in Question Papers and to reduce costs associated with the production of assessment material. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES • Supervise the daily activities of print ordering including the calculation of print quantities and managing stock levels, while ensuring schedules are met and effective processes are delivered. • Effective liaison with Océ on a day-to-day basis and working closely with colleagues at Windsor Street to ensure despatch deadlines are met. • Maintain log of question paper errors and erratum and to report on this on a regular basis, raising associated destruction notices and notice to centres etc. • Ensure that all assessment materials are accurately mapped on EPS. • Deputise for the Manager as required. • Report on the progress of print ordering, errors in question papers. • Progress reduction in costs associated with the production of assessment material. • Ensure that all assessment materials are accurately mapped on LIBS. KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Education/Qualifications Required Desirable • GCSE Maths & English Knowledge Required Desirable • A working knowledge of procedure delivery in an office environment. Specific Skills Required Desirable • Excellent interpersonal skills; • Supervision of staff in a busy office • Negotiating skills; environment. • Concise and clear business writing; • Computer literacy including Word/Outlook/Excel; • Good organisational skills and attention to detail. Experience Required Desirable • Experience of print ordering, managing • Understanding of the question paper print quantities and ensure print quality; production process. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate/negotiate effectively with a wide range of staff at all levels both within and outside the organisation; • Achieving targets; • Working within a team and responding to changes; • Ability to supervise a staff; • Pro-active approach to work and an ability to work on their own initiative to meet operational deadlines.
