AGENDA FOR MYICMS 886 WORKSHOP BROADBAND FOR ALL MALAYSIANS – REALISING MyICMS 886 GOALS 8 & 9 August 2006 WORKSHOP DETAILS Theme of Workshop Objectives of Workshop Broadband For All Malaysians – Realising MyICMS 886 Goals MyICMS 886 aims to create a catalystic cycle by enhancing the existing investments in ICMS infrastructure that will support future growth of ICM services. These new services and infrastructure are aimed at generating growth in six areas that have been identified as key for consumers and businesses in Malaysia. The MyICMS 886 strategy is Malaysia’s drive forward in the delivery of advanced information, communications and multimedia services from 2006 through to 2010. The objective of this workshop is to explore current initiatives and future plans of stakeholders, specifically with regard to Broadband, Next Generation Networks and Content Development. Broadband is emphasized here, as it is the basis from which the economic and social standards of all Malaysians can be elevated and enhanced. The expected outcome of this workshop is the development of a detailed action plan to achieve the Broadband targets outlined in MyICMS 886 for the mutual benefit of all stakeholders.
