The Partnership between the Monroe/Lenawee County AFL-CIO Central Labor
Council and The United Way of Monroe County hosted the 3rd Annual
Community Easter Egg Hunt at Munson Park in the City of Monroe this past
Saturday March 27, 2010. More than 850 children participated in this event.
“During these difficult economic times the children of Monroe have not been
forgotten the partnership between the Monroe/Lenawee County AFL-CIO Central
Labor Council and United Way of Monroe County. We have been afforded the
opportunity to brighten the faces of our children like the sun on a warm spring
day. They are the flowers of our community that will reflect our caring and
nurturing and one day will grow up to become compassionate citizens. We truly
are one family”, said Stanley Lewinski President of the Monroe/Lenawee County
AFL-CIO Central Labor Council.
